Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited situations in which another party may receive it. By using Fleming County Criminal History, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search tool is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request under its own systems and returns any results. We do not retain a local log of those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email sent to us may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. We do not disclose the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.

Data We Gather Automatically

Normal server and analytics logs may capture technical details when a page loads:

  • Page-view dates and times
  • Pages opened and estimated visit duration
  • Device category and operating system
  • Browser name and version
  • Referring page or site, when supplied
  • The device's IP address

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved by a browser. We and our analytics providers use them to measure traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. A browser can reject or delete cookies, although blocking them may change how some features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Routing a submitted search to the selected outside provider
  • Maintaining site operation, speed, and reliability
  • Finding and correcting technical faults
  • Measuring which content receives useful engagement
  • Delivering advertising that may reflect inferred interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Fleming County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to reach the sheriff, Kentucky courts, the Kentucky State Police Records Branch, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure rules apply to data submitted through those tools. Review the provider's policy before sending a query because we do not control its processing.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to a sheriff, court, Kentucky agency, legal resource, or outside search provider. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check its terms before disclosing personal data.

Advertising providers may also measure activity across websites to choose targeted ads. Their systems perform that tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be available to:

  • Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
  • Search providers processing a query sent through their tool
  • Advertising networks serving ads
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards protect the data under our control. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a person younger than 18. If such data is identified, we will delete it.

Your Data Rights

Rights vary by residence and applicable law. The Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870-61.884, governs access to public-agency records, while KRS 17.150 addresses maintenance and dissemination of criminal-history information and investigative records. Neither statute turns this private site into a government custodian. Where applicable law provides a right, you may:

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that right
  • Request deletion when an applicable law requires or permits it

Updates to This Policy
